A couple of our staff here at Play Inclusion Project have been busy recruiting new, enthusiastic, volunteers for our groups. We have attended recruitment fairs at Cardinal Newman College and Blackpool and Fylde college, as well as speaking to students in the classrooms at Cardinal Newman College. We have been very successful in signing many future volunteers up with us, and we are excited to welcome them to the team. A big thanks to Cardinal Newman College and Blackpool and Fylde College for their continued support.
We have secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This funding allows us to provide a social group for young adults aged 18-25, living in the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre area, with additional needs and disabilities. A massive thanks to the #NationalLottery.
Some of our team attended Epilepsy training on Tuesday 29th February. Its great to know that our policies and procedures correct and that we have been following the correct procedures. Regular training is very important to us at Play Inclusion Project and we are regularly updating our knowledge to ensure we provide the best care.
Our office is now closed to give our area coordinators a chance to relax before running activity club’s on 27th December. We will not be reachable by phone, but can be contacted by email.
Massive thanks for all support from staff, volunteers, and parents. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year from us all at Play Inclusion Project.
On Sunday 9th December we hosted our first Christmas Party for the young people, parents, volunteers and staff that attend Play Inclusion Project. We held the event at The Best Western Carlton Hotel in Blackpool and wow, was it a success! All the young people had a fabulous time dancing and playing party games. Lots of prizes were won via our raffle and ‘guess the bears name’ game. The big man himself even showed! We would like to say a special thanks to The Best Western Carlton Hotel, CJ Tazz, DJ Kev, The Entertainer Preston, everyone who donated a raffle prize, and to everyone who came. Thank you all for your support!
On the 9th December we will be hosting our first Christmas party for the children, young people, parents, and volunteers who attend out weekly groups and schools holiday clubs. We’re very excited here at Play Inclusion Project and will be busy planning the event! Tickets are on sale until 30th November 2018.

The funding will enable us to continue to deliver two weekly groups in each area and Activity Clubs during school holidays.
Activity Club Coordinators are busy finalising the details for May half term and letters will be sent out soon.
Full details of all the activities we deliver can be found under the Activities section on the website.
